I am a girl raised in the South (G.R.I.T.S) but I currently live in Denver, Colorado with my handy husband, Paul so we can be close to my two stepsons, Brandon and Jackson. We have two precious little pups that are a rare breed called Prague Ratter (the lil girl actually came all the way from Prague). We were married in the summer of 2011 and we just built our first house together that was completed just in time for Christmas of 2011 in the neighborhood of Stapleton where we were married.
For my day job, I work for a local construction company helping to manage large commercial projects (mostly hospitals). After hours, I spend my time working on DIY projects, decorating and redecorating our house, and spending time with my family. Ever since a little girl, I was constantly rearranging the furniture in my bedroom and trying to reinvent it. Luckily my parents allowed me to do... at least every once in a while.
My dad bought a 3D architectural program when I was a teen to design his new office space and of course I learned to use it and started designing my future dream homes as my creative outlet. Who would have known that years later that passion would turn into a full time career of creating and coordinating 3D models for construction projects. Before moving into our current home I had the whole house in 3D and the furniture laid out!
My DIY projects really started to take off when I got engaged in 2011. In order to create my dream wedding on a small budget, I started recreating the beautiful ideas and projects I found on sites like Etsy. Once I got my life back after trying to juggle a full-time career and wedding planning, I decided to share my projects with my friends and family through this blog and hopefully inspire others along the way.
